About us

We are a family owned artisanal distillery dedicated to making hand-crafted whisky in small batches
using locally grown grains including corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley.

In 1651 John French laid out his theories and findings of distilling and alchemy.
In 1860 Dr Selphonius French built his house in Lisle establishing his medical practice.
In 2012 Phil French realized it was time to draw on this heritage and so began French Distillers & Alchemists

We double distill and do everything on-site by hand in (painfully) small batches.
